Mungkin terlalu sukar untuk Sony bersaing dengan peranti-peranti kelas atasan (High-End) yang lain sperti Galaxy S4, HTC One dan sebagainya. Namun untk kategory permulaan (Level-Entry) dan pertengahan (Mid-Range), Peranti daripada Sony antara yang terbaik ditawarkan di pasaran dengan harga yang lebih berpatutan. Sony Xperia L antara salah satu peranti Mid-Range keluaran Sony yang telah dilancarkan pada March 2013. Walaupon berada pada kategori pertengahan, peranti ini dilengkapi dengan kamera 8 Megapixel serta sokongan pelbagai mod-mod pengambaran termasuk sokongan rakaman video HDR. Peranti yang beroperasi pada platform Android 4.1 Jelly Bean ini dijana dengan pemproses Dual Core 1 Ghz dan 1 GB RAM. Seperti kebanyakan peranti Sony yang lain, Xperia L turut mempunyai satu jalur cahaya di bahagian bawahnya menonjolkan lagi ciri-ciri unik yang ada padanya. Peranti ini hadir dengan memori terbina 8 GB yang hadir bersama tiga warna pilihan hitam, putih dan merah. Untuk harga terbaru Sony Xperia L boleh merujuk kepada senarai harga Sony apabila telah berada di pasaran Malaysia.
