The Honor has issued a variation model to Honor 9 at a lower price. The device is known as the Honor 9 Lite which comes with two cameras in front and back. The phone packed with a 5.65-inch display with 18:9 screen ratio and FullHD+ resolution. Under the hood, it is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 659 with Octa-Core CPU and Mali-T830 MP2 GPU. The mobile phone also available with three memory variants included 64GB with 4GB RAM, 32GB with 4GB RAM, and 32GB with 3GB RAM. For the camera, it uses two sensor which is 13 Megapixel and 2 Megapixel on the back as well as on the front.

Huawei Honor 9 Lite was announced on the Chinese market at CNY 1199 to CNY 1499 or equivalent to RM799 to RM1199. In Malaysia, the phone are available starting 9 March 2018 with official price RM749.
